The Youth Boardroom (FYG04S)

Advanced communication training aims to develop students' strategic communication, persuasive public speaking, and negotiation techniques through interactive skill-set training workshops and a simulated boardroom experience.

  • Participants: Secondary 4–6 students

Programme Objectives
  • Empowering students to develop effective and strategic communication techniques for crafting persuasive messages and delivering compelling speeches;
  • Enabling students to effectively influence and persuade in diverse settings.

Programme Content

The programme offers one class. Each class has a quota of 40 students.

Communication Training (10 hours)
Participants will:

  • learn the core principles of strategic communication, including mediation, presuasive argumentation and effective negotiation strategies;
  • develop impactful presentation skills, including stakeholder analysis and engagement

Field Trip & Roundtable Summit (6 hours)
Through direct engagement with key stakeholders, participants will apply the learned techniques in a realistic roundtable summit setting. By role- playing various stakeholder perspectives, it allows participants to gain a deeper understanding of the thematic issue's complexities and the interplay of different interests.
