HSBC Financial Dialogue Series 2019
Financial Innovation Case Study
Objective
Invite innovative tech-driven solutions to support banks' customers and communities in growing their financial capability
Review the role of bank in it and
provide insights after thorough investigation
Topic
Enhance customers’ experience of financial capability by
increasing awareness of risk and security on wealth management through a tech-driven solution
Advanced technology development shapes the expectation of the customer experience. The current success of PayMe, with millions of Hong Kong users currently, would be a great example to indicate that customers are now looking for versatile yet reliable solutions for banking services. Therefore, Hong Kong banks strive to embrace the latest technology for customer experience enhancement. On the other hand, the demand for enhancing financial capability keeps growing. Customers are now more aware of financial planning and seeking professional advice from different platforms, such as online talks and seminars, Youtube, mobile solution, etc.
Please review the role of Hong Kong’s banks in it and develop a service or product with the use of technology, e.g. mobile application, platform that serves at least Hong Kong users to enhance customer experience, especially in a financial capability perspective.
