Terms and Conditions
Course Alteration or Cancellation
- Fees paid are non-refundable except in the event of course cancellation by the Institute.
- The Institute will not accept refund requests for absences due to personal reasons. Absences due to medical reasons may be considered on a discretionary basis, subject to the provision of valid medical proof.
- No make-up classes will be provided for missed sessions.
- The Institute reserves the right to cancel a course due to insufficient enrolment or other exceptional circumstances and to amend the instructor, schedule, venue, or content of any course as necessary.
- In the event of a course cancellation, the Institute will notify participants via email or WhatsApp and arrange for participants to transfer to a suitable alternative course or receive a refund of the paid fees.
- The Institute retains the final decision-making authority on all matters relating to the course
Certificate Issuance
- Participants who meet the course attendance requirements will be awarded a certificate of completion. All certificates will be issued in electronic format.
- Participants requiring a physical certificate must pay an administrative fee of HKD 50, and the certificate will be sent via courier.
Inclement Weather Arrangements
- If a Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is in effect two hours prior to the scheduled activity, the activity for that day will be cancelled. The Institute will arrange make-up sessions as appropriate.
- For outdoor activities: In the event of adverse weather or any severe weather warnings, the Institute will notify participants two hours prior to the activity to confirm whether it will proceed as scheduled.
Refund Procedures
- Refunds for payments made by credit card will generally be processed through the relevant credit card company.
- Refunds may take approximately 30 working days, subject to the processing arrangements of the credit card company.
- All handling fees incurred through online registration are non-refundable.
Use of Personal Images
- The Institute and its partner organisations reserve the right to take photographs, videos, or audio recordings during the activity. Such photographs, images, audio, and videos may be used indefinitely and free of charge in any media without any payment or compensation to participants. All such content shall remain the exclusive property of The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and its affiliated entities.
